It is important to remember that the average daily cost of an Amazon Peacock Bass Fishing Trip is quite low when compared to other foreign travel destinations. The trips cover a total of 10 days, including: a 5 star hotel night at end of trip, all meals for 8 days, open bar in camp, daily laundry service and all flights between Manaus and the fishery location. Trips will range in 2008/09 from $3,550 to $4,250; economy round trip airfare Miami/Manaus will average approximately $900 and camp/guide tips are recommended at $300 – this means your average daily cost will vary between $475 and $545 EVERYTHING INCLUDED!!!!!

Black Water Explorer Yacht Trips: Beginning October 24th thru February 25th, there are seventeen trips for groups of up to 16 anglers per trip scheduled. Trip cost is $4,250 per person excluding airfare between USA and Manaus. Five of the seventeen trips (Oct 31st, Nov 14th, Dec 5th, Dec 12th & Jan 14th) are already FULL.  The remaining trips all have openings, so if the timeframe of late 2008 / early 2009 is of interesto you, CONTACT US and we will confirm availability / options for you immediately. A deposit of $1,000 per person will hold your place.

Floating Bungalow Camps: This is the FEATURED TRIP for 2008. Limited to three trips of 8 anglers each between November 28th and December 12th on the never before fished Rio Papagaio, a tributary to the famous Unini – full of peacocks that have never seen a lure !!!  What is special about these trips is the Amazon peacock fishery research and tagging that will take place for the IGFA. To participate in this innovative project a recommended minimum tax deductible donation of $4,550 to the IGFA will be required in lieu of the normal trip fee. IGFA will send you a written acknowledgement of your donation for your tax records.  Trip spaces are filling fast with 18 slots already filled. NORTHERN RIO BRANCO BASIN - Xeriuini, Tapera & Jatapu

Fixed Base Macaroca & Posao Lodges (Xeriuini River): If you want to travel over the Thanksgiving period, two combination trips covering both lodges on the same trip are being offered between November 19th and 26th at the “Holiday” price of $3,550 per person double occupancy. You will fish your way between the two lodges in this pristine small river environment that offers exceptional fly and conventional angling opportunities.

Four other trips for these lodges are available between December 3rd and January 14th  at a cost of $4,250 per person. Openings are still available for both “Holiday” and regular season trips so CONTACT US and we will get your trip organized for you. A $1,000 deposit per person will hold your spot.

Floating Bungalow Camps (Tapera River): Two  trips, January 29th and February 5th, are currently scheduled for 8 anglers each. Trip cost is $4,250 per angler. The Tapera River is surrounded by a strikingly dense jungle that borders the squeaky white sand river beaches. Generally very clear water, when levels are low, so an excellent fly fishing destination, in addition to traditional plug casting. This river provides great numbers of peacocks, the occasional monster and the most beautiful natural scenery outside of paradise. SAFARI STYLE TENT CAMPS (Upper Jatapu River): Six trips of 8 anglers each are planned between January 14th and February 18th, with openings available for all trips that cost $4,250 per person.  These trips are for the hard core angler / camper who want fantastic fishing and basic comforts. The Upper Jatapu River holds a vast variety of Amazon game fish from the 30lb trairao to 3 ft. bicuda to 300 lb catfish to giant piranha – all mixed in with the big peacocks in the shallows and huge payara in basins. In 2007, one angler set 4 all tackle IGFA world records in the Upper Jatapu. We carry our tent camp with us on the boats as we wend our way through this river that time has forgotten about.
